Members of the Lancaster University Islamic Society came to school to share with the children aspects of their life of faith. We learned lots and asked lots of questful RE questions.
Jonny and the NISCu team visited on Tuesday afternoon as part of their prayer walk around the area. They stopped and prayed for everyone in school.
All the classes spent some time exploring the Easter prayer stations set up by each class. We thought about the key events of Holy Week and what they mean to us. These are pictures of Year 4 engaging with the activities.
Year 2 and Year 5 had a great time taking part in the Lancaster and District Singing Festival in the Ashton Hall last week. They all sounded fantastic.
Year 4 had an amazing time on their overnight residential. Day 1 was spent exploring Brockholes Nature Reserve (near Preston) and Day 2 at Borwick Hall doing a wide range of Outdoor and Adventurous activities.
38 KS2 choir children had a wonderful night at Young Voices at the AO arena in Manchester last night. They sang and danced brilliantly all night and were so close to the action they even got some high fives from the stars of the show.
Some of the KS2 choir had a great time at the Carnforth Rotary Junior Schools Christmas Choir competition and we came 2nd! Well done everyone for your enthusiasm and great singing!
Year 5 and 6 children have been very active in the local football tournaments over the last week. They have played some great football and really enjoyed themselves.
Representatives of the school council went with Mrs Pennington to the Pupil Parliament day in Lancaster and had a great time sharing their ideas about protecting the planet for future generations. They joined with other school children in making their feeling known on the steps of the Town Hall.
Y6 had an amazing time at Hothersall Lodge last week.
