Monday 23rd March 2020

Morning Year 1,

How is everyone today? Hope you are all being good for whoever is looking after you today. I missed getting a big Monday morning smile from you. Please work hard but also have lots of fun. If you can get out into the garden today, what a beautiful day it is outside. My blossom tree is looking so lovely already, I can see the buds getting bigger everyday. I don't think it will be too long before I'll be seeing those beautiful pink flowers I told you about. I'll keep posting pictures of it so that you can see the changes. Can you see any signs of spring in your garden? Send me a photo if you can, or draw a picture.

Hi parents/carers! How are you all doing? I hope you aren't feeling too overwhelmed. It is okay to let them go off and play by themselves whilst you take a few minutes break!! They are still so little and although they work hard all day at school it is different when they are getting 1:1 rather than 30:1! Much more intense - discovered that myself with my two this morning. We only did an hour and we're all exhausted!! My aim for a Monday morning is to add a message onto the website to just keep in touch. Please feel free to email me back - or get the children to do it! I'd love to hear how you are and what you are up to.

There is lots of work already on the website so i'm not going to add anything new today. Other than some workout cards that I've just been sent. Great excuse to get them moving in the garden. The maths and english on the home learning page is great, but there is a lot of it! Please don't print it all off, look at it together on the computer and then either print off one or two sheets, or just record in a notebook. Whatever suits you. We can't collect it in and mark it so just discuss it together. I think there is too much on each day to do in one day too. Only choose a couple of things to do, or spread it out over a few days.

Please keep coming back to the website to catch up on what we're doing. Take it easy, no pressure for you or the children, if it all gets too much stick a film on and have a cuddle! Stay safe and stay home. Please email with any questions/problems/queries.

Take care,

Mrs Jennings
