In English we will be planning our own stories based on the traditional tale of Jack in the Beanstalk. Our grammar work will focus on understanding a question and using question marks to punctuate sentences.
In maths we will be continuing to look at addition and subtraction, partitioning numbers using part, part whole models and solving missing number problems.
This week in science we will looking at man-made and natural materials. We will be going on an outdoor trail through our nature area looking for natural materials. I wonder what we will find? I also wonder if we might find other materials that we didn't expect to find?
This week we will be looking at what it means to be knight. For design technology, we will be planning moving pictures so we can retell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk to a small child.
Our PE day is a Wednesday. Children should come to school in their PE kit on this day. We will also be using our Nature Area each Friday for 'Forest School' activities, so please remember your coats!
'To do's' will be set on Purple Mash for the children to complete, based on what we are learning. We will also be focusing a lot on online safety.
