Listen, learn, love and laugh as part of God's family

Summer 1 Week 3 - WC 04/5/20

Friday, 8th May is a very special day, it is VE day. VE Day stands for Victory in Europe Day which took place on Tuesday, May 8th, 1945. It was the day when Germany surrendered and people celebrated that the War was over. Since we are all in Lockdown and can’t have the celebrations we were planning, we thought that it would be a good idea to put some resources onto the website for you to make and use to celebrate the event in your own home. You may also have some of your own ideas, so be as creative as you like! We would love to receive some photographs of what you come up with to put up in our Gallery.

For English, we would like you to do some research and write about what it would have been like to be a part of the first celebrations as a child. We have added a useful YouTube clip and some reading to get you started. Maths this week is also based around a celebration, and for this we would like you to use your skills to solve a range of exciting maths problems. There is also a plant labeling activity for science and a range of VE day activities set for you '2do' on PurpleMash.

Spelling

This week, we would like you to practise any words that you have previously got wrong and revise some of the key words off the HFW list. See how you do.
