SEN

Mrs Waterhouse is the schools co-ordinator for Special Needs - also known as the SENCo. She is the first point of contact for parents with any queries in relation to their child's additional needs. She can be contacted via the school office Monday - Friday or can be emailed :  k.waterhouse@slyne-with-hest.lancs.sch.uk

All our work is under the umbrella of the 2014 Special Needs Code of Practice. 

In school we have a range of support staff who offer additional support e.g. lego therapy groups, 1:1 speech and language input, nurture work and support for neurodivergent children.

We have recently supported children with:

  • Hearing Impairment
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Emotional Needs
  • Learning Needs
