It was an inspiring talk which will hopefully create a few more wonderful stories from our own authors.

They enjoyed climbing, sailing, zip-wiring, archery, team challenges and a day out walking at Malham Cove.

We spent the first day at Housesteads and then stayed over at Birdoswald and spent the day there. We explored both forts, got enlisted into the army and had lots of time exploring Roman artefacts.

We walked along the sea front and had our lunch at the park. In the afternoon we went to the Victorian Seaside exhibition and Punch and Judy show at Fleetwood Museum. Years 1 - 6 went to church on Tuesday to celebrate and give thanks. We also took along gifts for the local foodbank which were added to those given in church and taken to the local collection centre. The staff passed on their thanks.

Our worship group led worship for the whole school on a Harvest theme.

We have also taken part in the Bishop's Harvest appeal and enjoyed finding out about life in South Sudan and how we can help. All the children were challenged to 'help out to help out' and undertook jobs at home that they were paid 10p for which they then donated to the Sudan appeal. We sent £70 to the appeal.
