Worship

Each year we mark the key events in the Christian calendar with services and special acts of worship. Some of these are in school and some in our local parish church, St Luke's.

Worship 2025 - 2026

Harvest Festival 2025

In the week commencing Monday 29th September we held special worships to celebrate Harvest and to think about how we can play our part in looking after God's amazing world.

On the Tuesday Years 1 - 6 went to church and we celebrated Harvest Festival in a service led mainly by children in Years 4 to 6. We all brought food gifts which were then taken to the local foodbank for distribution. Thanks to all those who contributed.

During the rest of the week we used the special Bishop of Blackburn's Harvest appeal resources thinking about ways to support the environmental work in the Free State, South Africa.

We collected 10p coins and covered our Sout Africa maps in class. We sent a donation to the Bishop's Harvest appeal.

Reception Class Starters Service

On Wednesday 15th October all our EYFS children walked to church and met Rev Susan there. She led us in a short 'Starters Service' during which we listened to the story of the lost sheep and then sang and prayed together. Friends from church had gifted a book of Bible stories for each child in Reception. Thank you!
