Class teacher : Mrs V Newman

Classroom teaching assistants: Mrs Savage in the mornings and Miss Metcalfe in the afternoons.

Welcome to year 1!

I am Mrs Newman, the class teacher; our classroom assistants are Mrs Savage and Miss Metcalfe. Mrs Love works in year 1 on a Wednesday afternoon when Mrs Newman works from home.

Year 1 P.E.

This term PE will be on Mondays and Thursdays. Children should come to school in their PE kit on these days. PE kit is a plain white t-shirt, black shorts or leggings/jogging bottoms and trainers or pumps. Children should wear their school jumper/cardigan as normal.

Year 1 Reading

Books will be changed on the following days (colour band on reading record)

Monday and Wednesday – red and yellow

Tuesday and Thursday- blue and green

Friday- anyone that needs it.
