Early Years Themes and Topics (Curriculum)
What a lovely day we had in Williamson's Park!
Thank you to all of our cake sale helpers, including the children who were fabulous cake makers and decorators!
We have had a lovely 'World Week'.
We explored the lives of four children; Sasha from Russia, Shakeel from India, Muluken from Ethiopia and Cidinha from Brazil. Here are some of the things we did.
We have been using lots of ICT this week
We have been tasting this week, and not just healthy foods! We wrote about things we like to eat and then did some still life drawings of food.
We are exploring the senses, this week it's all about smelling.
We learnt about St George this week - look at our fabulous work!
This week we have started our work about The Senses. We have worked on seeing and thought about what it would be like if we couldn't see what we were doing - painting and building were really difficult! We have done some lovely writing about eyes and made a graph of our eye colours. There are some super glasses designs too!
We had great fun learning about St Patrick's Day! We tried Irish dancing, we learnt about the story of St Patrick as well as some Irish traditions and customs. We tasted soda bread and potato bread and we made shaped shamrock sandwiches! We played Hot Potato and Pin the Hat on the Leprechaun.
We had a fabulous first indoor large apparatus lesson - look how brave some people were and how high they climbed!
In the last week of term we learnt all about the Easter story
